Glacier Lake Trail Description

The well-signed Glacier Lake trail is primarily used by backpackers, which minimizes the general traffic along the trail. Leave the parking lot and join the obvious trail at the trail sign. Begin hiking through the forest for roughly 1.2mi before coming to a bridge over the North Saskatchewan River, where you will begin to see some views.

Continue on the trail, catching glimpses of the Howse River and surrounding peaks as you pass by some clearings. About 1km before reaching the lake, you will need to climb a hill gaining roughly 656ft before descending to Glacier Lake. Enjoy the amenities at the campsite by the lake before turning back.
