Grand Teton National Park
Grand Teton National Park offers some of the most epic skiing and hiking in the US. Often overshadowed in summer by adjacent Yellowstone National Park, we love the incredible alpine terrain and stunning lakes that make Grand Teton one of our favorite national parks across the country.
Grand Teton National Park is a wonderful part of the United States. We like to stay in the nearby town of Jackson, that has a wild west theme, only with good accommodations and great restaurants. From Jackson you can explore the nearby Grand Teton National Park year-round.
Winter is famous for the Jackson Hole Ski Resort, which offers some of the best terrain in the entire US. Famous for their expert runs, the whole family can enjoy a vacation at Jackson Hole. For those who want to explore the region in a more tranquil manner, there is also great backcountry, cross-country and snowshoe trails, though much of Teton Park Road is closed to vehicles during the winter, which hinders access.
Summer is where Grand Teton National Park really comes alive, however. Famous for the exceptional backpacking, hiking and mountaineering, the Tetons still don’t feel crowded like other parks. Equally wonderful is the mountain biking, with wonderful rides just outside the park.
If you’re planning a trip to Yellowstone, definitely make time to also explore Grand Teton National Park.
