We work with handpicked tour operators and guides around the world, each of whom will share the best of their region in one of a number of travel styles.
To help you understand what different tour types mean, below we’ve shared some terminology you’ll see on the site:
Self-Guided Trips: These trips are great for individuals or small groups that know each other and don’t feel they need a guide. In most situations, under this scenario you will receive the following: Accommodation bookings, route guide, luggage transfer (though perhaps not every night), local recommendations on restaurants. Most Tour Operators also have a local phone number you can call if you get lost or need some help. Each specific tour may have slightly different inclusions and exclusions.
Custom Guided Trips: Custom Guided Trips are for only you and your group, and can often be customized based on your specific requirements and timeframe. These trips are great for individuals or small groups that know each other and want a guide. Many guests select this option when they aren’t comfortable in the local language or don’t know the country well. In most situations, Custom Guided Trips you will receive the following: Accommodation, some or all meals, a local guide, luggage transfer and many include transfers to the trailhead. Each tour may have slightly different inclusions and exclusions.
