Day 1 Arrival in Passignano sul Trasimeno

Arrive in the charming town of Passignano sul Trasimeno. In the evening, take a stroll through the historic heart of the town, and from the Rocca's bell tower, enjoy breathtaking views of the shimmering lake below.

Day 2 Circular walk in Passignano – “Giro del Trasimeno”

Today’s hike follows the Giro del Trasimeno, a long-distance trail that takes you over numerous hilltops with spectacular views of the lake. Along the way, visit the impressive Maltese Castle in Magione, once a refuge for pilgrims. A scenic train ride along the lake will bring you back to Passignano.

Day 3 Passignano sul Trasimeno to Assisi – “Green Path and Sacred Forest”

Take a train past Perugia to Bastia Umbra, where you begin your hike on the “Green Path” along the Tescio River. Ascend toward the majestic city of Assisi, a key pilgrimage destination. Pass through the Sacred Forest and detour to see the Third Paradise, an artwork made from 120 olive trees, before reaching the Basilica of San Francesco.

Day 4 Assisi to Spello/Foligno – “Monte Subasio High Trail”

Reach the town of Spello, known for its churches and Renaissance frescoes. From there, take the train to Foligno, located on the ancient Roman Via Flaminia.

Day 5 Spello/Foligno to Trevi – “Franciscan Trail”

Leaving Foligno, follow the Franciscan Trail along the ancient Via Flaminia to Sant’Eraclio fortress. Continue through olive groves and gentle hills, arriving at Trevi, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages. Relax in the Piazza and explore Villa Fabri, known for its ceiling frescoes.

Day 6 Trevi to Spoleto – “Olive Groves and Castles”
