Day 1 Arrival
Your exciting pilgrimage on the Le Puy Camino begins in the beautiful town of Lectoure, perched high above the rolling hills of Lomagne on a rocky outcrop. The town was once the home of the Counts of Armagnac, and its turbulent history saw the siege of Louis XI in the year 1473, making for a fascinating encounter with the France of the past.

Day 2 Woodlands and Countryside to La Romieu
Your first day of walking on the Le Puy Camino will introduce you to the unparalleled pastoral beauty of southern France. Enjoy a pleasant route as you set out towards La Romieu this morning, first crossing the River Gers and then continuing through pretty woodlands and rich green countryside.

Day 3 Vineyards and Croplands to Condom
As you make your way west this morning on your second day on the Le Puy Camino, you’ll note the presence of vines steadily increases as you head towards the medieval town of Condom. Not just vines, however, in fact, today’s route will be flanked by sunflowers, wheat fields, and several fruit and vegetable patches, including garlic and melon.
Pause at the beautifully restored La Chapelle Sainte Germaine, where you’ll enjoy majestic vistas over the vast countryside. Then, arrive in Condom, where you’ll find tonight’s accommodations. The Armagnac town of Condom houses a spectacular Gothic cathedral built in the Languedoc style and well worth a visit.

Day 4 Ancient French History and Architecture
Today’s route to Montréal-du-Gers is one deeply rooted in fascinating French history and impressive architecture. There is the option to detour to Larresingle, where you’ll find a beautiful 13th-century fortified village named one of France’s coveted Les Plus Beaux Villages de France (France’s most beautiful Villages).
Continue the route, taking in the magical Chapelle de Routges (the oldest church in the department), then arrive in Montréal-du-Gers, home to the largest Armagnac vineyard, which produces the world-famous brandy. Unwind this evening, savouring a glass of local Armagnac following dinner—the perfect nightcap!

Day 5 On to Eauze via Lamothe
Depart Montréal-du-Gers, perhaps with a souvenir bottle of Armagnac stowed away in your luggage!. Today’s route is mostly flat and guides you through quiet farmlands and vineyards to the hamlet of Lamothe, where you’ll want to check out the 13th-century guard tower.
Descend into the valley, then press on as you climb to Eauze, the capital of Armagnac.

Day 6 From the Lot Department to Le Gers Department
Crossing over from the Lot department to Le Gers today, you’ll enjoy a route enveloped in the vineyards of Armagnac as you continue the route to the lovely small town of Manciet.
Continue to Nogaro, where you’ll find tonight’s accommodations. Enjoy a good night’s rest in preparation for your final day of walking the Le Puy Camino tomorrow.

Day 7 Final Walk on the Le Puy Camino
Today you’ll set out on your momentous final walk on the Le Puy Camino as you close out the journey, making your way to Aire-sur-l’Adour. Wheatfields and farmland pave the way as you navigate the route through tiny villages and idyllic hamlets.
You’ll note the landscape begins to shift from rolling vineyards to dense forests of towering pines, chestnuts and mighty oaks. Arrive in Aire-sur-l’Adour, where your pilgrimage comes to an end.
Set on the River Adour, Aire-sur-l’Adour is a charming market town encased in lush green forests. Book an extra night here to enjoy this riverside paradise before departing.
