Day 1 Calgary
Once you arrive at the airport in Calgary, hop on a shuttle bus to your hotel, where you’ll meet your guide. Discuss the upcoming tour over a complimentary dinner with your group.

Day 2 Banff National Park
After consuming a complimentary breakfast, travel away from skyscrapers to the fresh mountain air and breathtaking views blanketing Canada’s ever-so coveted Banff National Park. Set up your tent in a campground shaded by a lush forest before embarking on a short hike on one of the trails surrounding Lake Minnewanka. Marvel at the idyllic backdrop, unveiling mountains jetting out of the lake as you walk.

Day 3 Hike Incredible Alpine Meadows
Spend another day basking in Banff’s scenic bliss. Begin your day with a hiking adventure. Travel along ridges, through alpine meadows, and past glistening lakes. Notice the dramatic views painting the land as you trek. Expect to walk 2 km further than planned if you, your group, and your guide have the energy to continue walking. In the evening, stroll the charming town, brimming with rustic-style buildings set against a mountain backdrop.

Day 4 Hike to a Teahouse at Lake Louise
Pack up your tent and head to the quiet town of Lake Louise that glimmers with a shy, but enticing beauty. Admire the turquoise waters cradled by sky-high mountains, laden with snow, as soon as you enter this gorgeous hamlet. Embark on a brief 3.5 km hike to Lake Agnes Tea House set on the shoreline. Opt to venture on more hikes: go on a 15 km circuit or trek 2. 5 km to the Plain of Six Glaciers. Use the showers provided at the campsite and enjoy a relaxing evening outside.

Day 5 Yoho National Park
Tap into your adventurous side and enjoy an exhilarating day speeding through Kicking Horse River on a white-water rafting trip. Stop in Golden, B.C for a brief side trip. If white water rafting isn’t your thing, opt to go another hike in Yoho National Park. It’s suggested to go on an 18 km trek that reveals majestic views of Emerald Lake.

Day 6 Glacier Viewing on the Icefields Parkway
Let your mind immerse in another world, one far different from reality as you travel along the famed Icefields Pathway to Jasper National Park. Admire the array of waterfalls, glaciers, sometimes frozen, as you drive. Stop Bow Summit and Peyto Lake for a tremendous vista of a vibrant blue sheet of water shimmering amid quintessential Canadian scenery—towering mountains and forest. Embark on a short, but intense hike viewpoint that overlooks the Saskatchewan glacier. Enjoy a hot shower and a fun night at your campground.

Day 7 Jasper National Park & Maligne Lake
Jasper National Park perfectly emulated an outdoor haven. Opt to swim and picnic at Pyramid Lake, go mountain biking, canoeing, or hike. The hiking option will carry you to Maligne Lake, another stunning view, complete with mountains faded in the background, while a bright blue lake begs for attention in front. If your legs allow, travel higher to the tower above the lake below.

Day 8 Jasper National Park to Calgary

Day 10 Hiking in Tombstone Territorial Park
Head up to Canada’s northernmost highway after munching on breakfast! Fun fact: this 730 km highway connects with Inuvik, an arctic community. Travel to Tombstone Territorial Park, where rocky ridges, mountain slopes, and arctic tundra span the land.

Day 11 Hiking in Tombstone Territorial Park

Day 12 Iconic Dawson City
Pack up your tent and get ready to stroll through the famous, iconic Dawson City, etched with stories of the gold rush that put this legendary place on the map. Admire the buildings preserving the look and vibes of the former Klondike Gold Rush base. After exploring the myriad of famed attractions, have a rocking night at the Diamond Tooth Gerties Hall for some can-can routines and an all-around fun time. Stay at a campground overnight.

Day 13 Gold Rush History in Dawson City
Learn more about the rich past sprinkled throughout Dawson City. Experience what it was like to pan for gold during a tour of a gold mine—which still carries gold today. Check out other noteworthy sites after panning for gold: Jack London and Robert Service Cabins and the Dawson City Museum. End the day with a rewarding drive up the Midnight Dome. Marvel at the panoramic views of the city, goldfields, Yukon River, while the Ogilvie Mountains add a bonus layer of beauty far off in the distance.

Day 14 Top of the World Highway to Alaska
Hop in the van and traverse the Top of the World Highway to Alaska. Notice how the road snakes through rolling tundra and by two northern towns: Chicken and Jack Wade. Spend the night at another campsite.

Day 15 Kluane National park
Say goodbye to America (for now) and travel back to Canada. Wind by Kluane Lake before stopping at the Sheep Mountain visitor centre in Kluane National Park. Look out for Dall sheep dotting the surrounding slopes. Get the chance to further immerse in Canada’s vast wilderness via an optional flight over the largest non-polar ice sheets in the world and towering mountains such as Mount Logan, which stands at 6,000 metres, making it the highest mountain in Canada. Pitch your tent at a campground just outside of Haines Junction.

Days 16 to 17 Hiking in Kluane National Park
Spend two more days admiring the ice fields, pockets of trees, and the pristine-blue Kathleen Lake snaking through sky-high mountain passes. Meander through the alpine valleys and look out for grizzly bears and Dall sheep peppering the landscape. If the weather postponed the optional flight from Day 15, there’s a chance you’ll get to explore the park from above during these two days.

Day 18 Rafting & Million Dollar Falls
Take off your hiking boots and get ready for a day of white-water rafting on the Tatshenshini River. Spend the night camping at Million Dollar Falls and take a short walk to a majestic waterfall view.

Day 19 Explore Haines & Tlingit Culture
After you pack up your tent, you will hop in the van and head back to Alaska. Admire the wildlife flocking towards the streams, where schools of salmon migrate. Watch out for bears and eagles circling around the streams. Have some time to shop and stroll through Haines, a town exploding with Tlingit culture and backed by snow-laden mountains.

Day 20 Ferry to Skagway
Travel by ferry through the Lynn Canal, an inlet between jetting cliffs. Look out for whales and seals in the water and Alaskan brown bears dotting the shore. Reach Skagway, a town, like Dawson City, that preserved the boomtown vibes and architecture of its gold rush past. Spend the rest of the day exploring the area: hikes along the seaside or through the forest, stop by a saloon, visit a museum.

Day 21 Skagway to Whitehorse
One of your last activities with your group is an optional train ride on the White Pass and Yukon Route railway. Twist along the mountain face and marvel at the steep slopes layered with a chockablock of trees. After, be sure to soak in the mountain views as you drive back to Whitehorse. Celebrate the last 21 days with your new friends over dinner before enjoying a relaxing night of rest in a hotel.

This guided hiking tour in the Rocky Mountains, Yukon and Alaska is run as a fixed-departure tour where you’d be joining a group, however, custom private tours can be organized for those willing to travel with their group only (please contact us with your preferred date and the number of people in your group and we will create the itinerary just for you).

Accommodation on The Rockies, Yukon, and Alaska Hiking & Camping Tour
This tour will have you staying in a combination of hotels and campsites. Expect to stay in two or three-star hotels, which come equipped with necessary, comfortable amenities. Keep in mind that you will stay with another member of the tour in a room at the hotels. Feel free to upgrade to single occupancy for an additional fee.
Throughout your camping tour, you will spend 17 nights camping in a shared tent. You can always upgrade to a single tent for an additional fee.
Please note that the hotels listed below may need to be swapped for other similar accommodations.
