Powder Highway Ski Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Pickup in Calgary and transfer to Fernie

Spend some time getting to know the other skiers and snowboarders on this tour after you will be picked up from your hotel located in Calgary’s downtown core at 2 pm. Marvel at the Canadian Rockies standing tall, like a painting, in the backdrop as you drive four hours to Fernie. After checking into your hotel, enjoy cheerful chatter, over a hearty meal, discussing the upcoming journey.

Day 2 Ski in Fernie

Day 3 Ski in Fernie and Continue to Nelson

Day 5 Ski Whitewater and Explore Nelson

Indulge in yet another day of skiing through powdery snow surrounded by idyllic trees. The serene atmosphere feels almost deafening when you stop and wait for your friends to catch up. Nelson, boasting a vibrant community of hipsters and hippies, offers legendary dining experiences with an abundance of farm-to-table restaurants, pubs, breweries, and "Boho" diners dotting every corner. Take advantage of some free time to explore the charming town!

Day 6 Ski Red Mountain in Rossland

This morning, you’ll embark on a 1.5-hour journey to Rossland, which is the birthplace of freeskiing in Canada and the proud location of Red Mountain. The terrain invites you to unleash your energy and let the powder cascade over you, as you carve through one rarely skied, powder-filled rolling meadow after another. It's our little secret how incredible this place is!

Day 7 Red mountain Continued and Transfer to Revelstoke

Experience another day of paradise as you navigate the trees, bowls, and expansive slopes of Red Mountain. Delight in lunch on the sun-drenched deck of Paradise Lodge, and cap off the day with a local beer at Rafter's Bar, a legendary establishment in the area. Following the day on the slopes, you’ll board the van for a 4-hour transfer to Revelstoke, with a dinner stop and an opportunity to soak in local hot springs along the way.

Day 8 Ski Revelstoke

Early Swiss mountaineers found Revelstoke appealing, leading to the establishment of a ski hill in the area. The immense mountain and endless snow were the draws over a century ago, and that allure remains unchanged. Spend the day skiing the numerous alpine bowls, embarking on hikes to discover hidden runs off Subpeak, and navigating secluded tree lines with runs bearing funny local names.

Day 9 Revelstoke Mountain Resort Continued

Revelstoke boasts an abundance of terrain that's impossible to conquer in just one day, so we've set aside an additional day for you to give it another shot. You'll undoubtedly enjoy the snow and breathtaking views, though your feelings toward the run "Kill the Banker" might be a bit different. We'll see how you handle it! Afterward, savour some local beer and regale the group with tales of the impressive airs you caught when they weren't watching.

Day 10 Traverse Rogers Pass and Ski Kicking Horse

With an early morning start, you’ll rise and embark on a journey through Rogers Pass to take in the views of the surrounding peaks, before reaching Kicking Horse. Once there, the real excitement begins! The past eight days have been dedicated to preparing you for the extraordinary alpine terrain of this colossal mountain. Hike alongside your guide to Terminator Peaks for some hidden lines or explore secret runs in other areas that are too special to be named here!

Day 11 Ski Kicking Horse Continued

Another day in the heavenly paradise of Kicking Horse awaits, as you immerse yourself in skiing the challenging slopes and powder lines at the resort. Most of the terrain here is oriented toward the north, leaving a soft, consistent snow that is perfect to shred!

Day 12 Stop in Banff and Return to Calgary

Today marks the final day of the tour, as you commence your journey back to Calgary, but the adventure doesn't conclude just yet! On the way you’ll make a stop in Banff for one last indulgence – a dip in the hot springs that are renowned for their mineral waters and purported healing properties.

You have the option to travel all the way to Calgary or choose to disembark in Banff if you wish to extend your trip and explore the Rockies for some additional skiing.
