Day 1 Arrival in Münich
After your arrival in Münich, you will have the chance to explore the sights and sounds of the city before settling in for the evening ahead of your first day of cycling.

Day 2 Cycle to the Starnberger See
Your first day of cycling will take you from Munich to the Starnberger See. From Starnberg, you will make your way along a scenic lakeside cycle path to Ambach. Here, the lake will tempt you with crystal-clear waters and fabulous views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 3 Explore the Murnauer Moos Nature Reserve
Today you will begin by cycling through the nature reserve Murnauer Moos, which is the biggest moor area in Central Europe. Continuing onwards through unspoilt nature, you will follow the river Loisach to Garmisch Partenkirchen. This stage is deliberately kept short to allow you the opportunity to take a ride up by the Zugspitzbahn railway to a height of 2962 metres (extracurricular to the tour). From there you have a fantastic view over the Alps.

Day 4 Panoramic Views of the Karwendel and Wettersteingebirge Mountains
Today you will cycle to the River Isar, making your way through a charming and sunny valley to experience incredible views of the surrounding Karwendel and Wettersteingebirge Mountains. After a break to walk through the colourful village of Mittenwald, you will continue on through the Leutaschklamm ravine to cross over into Austria.

Day 5 Cycle to Imst
Today you will cycle the former towpath along the River Inn, which will take you on a descent through hilly terrain to Stams (baroque Cistercian convent). After, you will continue your tour via Haiming to Imst, the so-called “Merano of North Tyrol”.

Day 6 Traverse the Reschenpass to Reschensee
Continuing along the river Inn, today’s stage of the tour will take you past the Zams monastery to Landeck. From there, a bus will take you to Nauders, where you will gain just under 100 metres in altitude while cycling uphill to the mountain pass called the 'Reschenpass'. From the pass, you will bike downhill to Lake Reschensee and continue on minor roads to Mals or to Burgeis at the foot of the castle Marienburg.

Day 7 View Historical Sites on the Way to Merano
Your day will begin with a trip to Glurns, which is home to perfectly preserved medieval city walls. You will then cycle to the Montani ruins, through Schlanders, and down to Merano. On your way, you will come across some pretty castles (mountaineer Reinhold Messner’s castle Juval) and you will enjoy marvelous views of the impressive mountain massif Ortlermassiv and the mountain pass Stilfserjoch.

Day 8 Bike Past Vineyards and Orchards in South Tyrol
Today’s stage will take you via Lana (Schnatterpeck Altar) and through numerous orchards and vineyards in the area of the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Here, you will make your way past many fortresses, castles, and ruins – such as Hocheppan – to reach Lake Caldaro. You will stay overnight in the cozy wine town, Auer.

Day 9 Cycle to Trento
On the sixth day of your tour, you will cycle mostly along the river Adige. At times you will pass through orchards to Salurn, where the German speaking South Tyrol ends. The famous Trentino vineyards are located next to the dam ways, which lead you to Trento. This beautiful city is home to a lovely old town, a cathedral, and Buonconsiglio castle.

Day 10 Take in the Natural Beauty of Lake Garda
Today, you will continue cycling on bike paths along the river Adige via the old Tyrolean border town of Rovereto to Mori. From there, the route leads westward to Lake Garda. In Mori you will taste the world famous pistachio ice-cream in the Gelateria Bologna. After a short climb onto Passo S. Giovanni (150 metres), you will head down to the lake to Riva.
