Take an unforgettable 25-day bike journey across the Himalayas
Talk about a bucket list item! This is one of the most epic tours you can treat yourself to. The words “it’s about the journey, not the destination” represent this 25-day tour, without a doubt. Cycling from Lhasa, Tibet, to Kathmandu, Nepal?! What a dream!
Start in Lhasa, Tibet, to meet your group and guide and spend the first couple of days acclimatizing and sightseeing. You begin riding Day 4 and keep pedaling for about three weeks! On the way, you’ll visit sacred monuments and monasteries, view unbelievable mountain landscapes of high snow-capped peaks, alpine lakes, and glaciers. Cycle over several mountain passes, feeling more accomplished as you traverse each one.
About two weeks into the journey across Tibet, Mount Everest comes into view, and you spend the next week cycling alongside the imposing peaks at the Roof of the World, including Makalu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, and Everest. Once you enter Nepal in the last week of the journey, you will gear down and spend a full day sightseeing in Kathmandu.
On this tour, you’ll stay in a mix of hotels, simple guesthouses, and high-quality tents. This is an epic adventure, to say the least—just you, your group, and your guide facing the elements in the most naturally awesome part of the world. Ride on!
