Day 1 Arrival in Lucca

Arrive in Renaissance Lucca, just a short train or bus ride from Florence or Pisa airports. After fitting your bikes, enjoy a 4 km test ride around Italy’s best-preserved fortified walls. If you arrive early, take time to explore the city center, including the Roman-built amphitheater, the unique Torre Guinigi with a tree growing atop the medieval tower, and the stunning marble Duomo. The day concludes with a welcome dinner at a local trattoria, marking the start of our tour together.

Day 2 Ride to Pisa

You’ll embark on a roundtrip ride to Pisa, following the nearby river, leading you to the heart of this captivating city. Here, you’ll visit the iconic "Square of Miracles," designed to symbolize the essentials of life: the Romanesque Baptistery, the Cathedral, the famous leaning bell tower, and the Monumental Cemetery. After exploring Pisa, you’ll enjoy a scenic ride back to Lucca.

Day 3 Ride to Vinci

You’ll depart Lucca and cycle to Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. Explore the town’s museum, featuring wooden models of Leonardo’s inventions, including hydraulic machines and even the bicycle.

Tonight, relax at a Tuscan farmhouse in the Chianti wine region, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The farm produces Chianti DOCG wine, olive oil, and the local sweet Vin Santo. Your tour leader will host a group dinner to cap off the day.

Day 4 Ride through Tuscany

You’ll ride through quintessential Tuscany, surrounded by endless cypress trees, olive groves, and sprawling vineyards. Tonight, you’ll arrive in Colle di Val d’Elsa, a stunning walled medieval town perched on a hill. Get ready to explore its cobblestone streets and hidden alleyways, filled with history and charm at every turn.

Day 5 Ride to San Gimignano

Enjoy a local osterie before you head back to the medieval beauty of Colle di Val d’Elsa, where more adventures await.

Wander through winding alleys and discover hidden gems around every corner. If you’re ready for a break from the bike, you can easily hop on a public bus directly to Siena.
