Hiking Exploration of the Colorado Rockies Itinerary
Day 1 Hiking on the Wild Basin Trail
The shuttle to the national park will meet you at the Denver airport and bring you to the Wild Basin Trailhead. Today will be a nice and easy hike to the Calypso Cascades and Ouzel Falls.
On the way back you’ll enjoy the quiet North St. Vrain Trail before settling in at your hotel in Estes Park.

Day 2 Scenic Hiking on Bear Lake Trail
A short shuttle ride will drop you off this morning at the Bear Lake trailhead. You’ll be hiking up the ridge that flanks Flattop Mountain.
After you’ve hiked past Lake Helene, you’ll arrive at Fern Creek Valley. As you walk along its ledge, you’ll have amazing views of the surrounding peaks including Little Matterhorn. As you continue hiking past lakes and rivers keep your eyes open for the elk that live in the valley.

Day 3 Trek to Sky Pond
Your hike today starts at the Glacier Gorge trailhead, and you’ll be following Glacier Creek as you work your way up the gorge.
On your route, you’ll see Alberta Falls and a few alpine lakes before you clear the tree line and arrive at Timberline Falls. It’s a quick scramble along the top of the falls to reach the stunning Lake of Glass.
Your final stop for the day will be the scenic Sky Pond. You’ll love taking in the panoramic mountain views on your descent!

Day 4 Alpine Lakes and Mountain Views
Head back to the Bear Lake trailhead to start today's journey. This time you’ll be hiking towards some of the most picturesque lakes in the park, including Bear, Nymph, Dream, Emerald, and Haiyaha lakes.
After enjoying the incredible views of the surrounding peaks, you’ll be collected by the van and driven along the Trail Ridge Road. During the ride, you’ll be mostly above the treeline, so make sure you enjoy the awesome views from 12,183 feet before descending into Grand Lake and your new home base for the rest of the tour.

Day 5 Follow the East Inlet Trail
Today you’ll be taking on the more challenging hike up the East Inlet Trail. You’ll be able to stop at Adams Falls before arriving at blissful Lone Pine Lake, a perfect picnic spot.
As you hike through the valley today, keep your eyes open for the moose that frequent the area.

Day 6 Final Mountain Exploration
Even though today is the last day, you still have one more fabulous hike in store! The shuttle will take you to the Olde Ute Trailhead where you’ll begin walking along the shores of Poudre Lake. You’ll see rock spires and hanging gardens as you hike until you eventually climb above the Timberline.
Enjoy your final expansive view of the Rockies as you hike above the trees to Fall River Pass and the Alpine Visitor Center. The shuttle will pick you up after lunch and bring you back to the Denver airport.
