Great South Morocco Mountain Bike Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive
Arrive in Marrakech where you’ll be met by your guide at the airport before transferring to your hotel in Marrakech.

Day 2 Marrakech, Telouat and Kasbah Ait Benhedou
After breakfast you’ll set out in a 4x4 vehicle headed towards the Atlas Mountains. You’ll pass by the Tizi N'Tichka (2260m) the highest of all roads in North Africa, where you’ll enjoy a beautiful landscape and find numerous stalls selling rocks and fossils. Shortly after, you’ll return by a small road to the village of Telouet, where you’ll visit the ancient Kasbah built in 1880 by one of the masters of southern Morocco, El Haj Thami the Mezouari. Here begins your bike tour through the beautiful valley Ounila. Cross a semi-desert landscape through different Berber villages to reach the large Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and the setting for many films. After checking into your hotel, it’s time to walk around the village, drink tea and enjoy the charm of the area until dinner time.

Day 3 Ouarzazate and Agdz
This morning you’ll ride through the valley of the Drâa up to Agdz where a short transfer will take you to the spectacular pass Tizi-n-Tinififft (1160m / 5445 ft). Here, you’ll enter the old and dry Anti Atlas Mountains with a lunar landscape of strange rock formations. Your cycling starts with a short descent on a paved road with magnificent views. After crossing a small river you’ll take a smooth ‘piste’ (dirt road) around the base of Jebel Kissane, passing through ‘palmeries’ and isolated Berber villages. Small tracks and trails will take you through the valley of the Drâa to the village of Tin-Zouline.

Day 4 Explore Draa Valley
Today’s biking is truly beautiful as you explore the green valley of Draa with its endless date palms. Exploring the ‘palmeries’ leads to a nice ‘piste’ nestled below the dramatic, near vertical brown valley walls. Later, pass by the village of Benizouli before ending up in the small village of Imi-n-Ouassif. Here you are close to the Sahara desert and can enjoy a visit to the sand dunes of Tinfou.

Day 5 Atlas to N’kob
Today you’ll mountain bike through the Anti Atlas to N’kob Over the pass Tizi-n-Drâa to the remote and small city of N’kob. Leaving the green Drâa valley behind, you’ll enter the dry mountains of the Jebel Saghro. In N’kob you’ll stay in a traditional ‘auberge’.

Day 6 Jebel Saghro to Dades Gorges
Today is the big day: you’ll cross the mountains and conquer the isolated pass Tizi-n-Tazazert (2200m/ 7217 ft). From N’kob a dirt road takes you to the volcanic gateway of Babn-Ali and from there it is a heavy climb to the pass. But the view on top, with the snow-capped High Atlas Mountains on the horizon, make the hard work worthwhile. A spectacular descent will bring you to the Berber village of Tagdilt. Here you’ll spend your last night in ‘the middle of nowhere’.

Day 7 Roses Valley – Tichka Pass – Marrakech
After breakfast drive back to Marrakech across Tichka pass (2260m), arrival in the late afternoon, check into your hotel or Riad, with an overnight stay and breakfast. The afternoon will bring an opportunity to visit some monuments, souks, or simply relax by the pool.

Day 8 Marrakech – Airport

A: Hands down, this is Tagine! Guests may have tried Tagine elsewhere around the world,
but one must try Tagine in its birthplace for the true experience! To top this off, a traditional Min Tea is the perfect follow-up.

A: My ideal holiday destination is the beach. I really like Essaouira and Agadir.
