Dolomites to Venice Hiking Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Cortina d’Ampezzo
Make your way to Cortina d’Ampezzo and check into your hotel. Enjoy the evening at your leisure in the city of the Dolomites.

Day 2 Begin Trekking to San Vito di Cadore
Today your trek to Venice begins! You’ll begin your walk from Cortina out of the valley into a tranquil forest. As you hike you’ll have beautiful views of the Dolomites, including the Sorapis massif and the Five Towers rock formation.
Your trail brings you through the Boite Valley to San Vito di Cadore for the night.

Day 3 Hike to Pieve di Cadore
You can shorten the first part of the hike by taking the chair lift to the Rifugio Scotter Palatini (ticket not included). Following the Via Alpini hiking trail you reach the Passo dei Camosci and then the Galassi mountain hut. Once there, you have already reached the highest point of the hike. Along the way, you can enjoy the view of the well-known mountains such as Monte Pelmo, Civetta and Antelao. Through the valley d‘Oten you walk along the river Molinà. There is the possibility, after about 16 km to take a taxi directly to Pieve de Cadore from the Bar Alla Pineta (taxi not included). Otherwise, you can hike to Calazo di Cadore and take the bus from there to Pieve di Cadore (not included).

Day 4 Walking the Cammino delle Dolomiti
After breakfast, you’ll begin your hike through the Valle di Cadore. Along your way, you may want to take a quick detour to the lovely church of St. Martin.
You’ll be hiking on the Cammino delle Dolomiti until you reach the Perarolo. From here you’ll take the bus to Belluno where you’ll be spending the night.

Distance: 4-5 hours, 550m of ascent, 750m of descent

Day 5 Hike from Nevegal
You’ll need to take a transfer to Nevegal to begin today’s journey. As you walk across the plateau you’ll have views of Santa Croce and beautiful Lake Morto. Your trail climbs a ridge that offers more sweeping panoramic views.
Stop for lunch at one of the charming mountain huts that you pass on your way to Revine.

Day 6 The Walk to Treviso
After another short transfer, you’ll continue your walk south along the aptly named “Dream Path Munich-Venice” trail. Your path climbs rolling hills to a picturesque watermill in Molinetto della Croda. As you leave the mountains behind you’ll find yourself wandering through beautiful vineyards where you’ll want to stop to sample the local prosecco.
Take the train from Conegliano to Treviso, your stop for the evening.

Day 7 Nature Reserve Walk
Your hike today follows the River Sile into a diverse nature reserve. Explore the lakes, peat bogs, and waterways while you watch for birds and wildlife.
When you reach Quarto d’Altino you can take the train to Mestre, the mainland area of Venice.

Day 8 Departure
Your tour finishes after breakfast. You may either extend your stay to explore spectacular Venice or begin your onward travel.
