Explore Croatia’s pristine coastlines on foot
The Dalmatian coast and its islands have long been a glamorous destination for sun-seekers, but the hiking opportunities should not be overlooked! On this 7-day self-guided walking tour, experience three of Croatia’s best islands, along with two of its most renowned coastal cities.
Start your journey in the city of Split, Croatia’s second-largest, where Marjan Park offers gorgeous panoramic views of your surroundings. Your first catamaran ferry brings you to the island of Brač, whose idyllic scenery has so far been spared the tourism numbers seen on neighbouring isles. Then it’s on to the famous island of Hvar, with two nights to enjoy its villages, beaches, and omnipresent fun. Another ferry brings you to Korčula for your final two nights. From here, summit the limestone peak of Sveti Ilija, then spend a day in the stunning national park on Mljet Island. Finish the tour in the famous walled city of Dubrovnik, which many will recognize as “King’s Landing” from Game of Thrones.
The Croatian coast is one of Europe’s most beautiful summer jewels, and this is the tour to make the most of it!

After a delicious breakfast, make your way to the port for a catamaran ferry to Brač Island. Land in the town of Bol and set off on your day’s adventures. Brač is the largest island in Dalmatia, without the tourist numbers found on some of its neighbours.
The highlight of today’s hike is the summit of Vidova Gora. At 780m above sea level, this is the highest peak in all the Adriatic Islands!

You’ll arrive in Hvar town, which offers plenty to enjoy. An excellent coastal walking trail runs from the town to Milna (Hvar’s version) and back. Enjoy the beaches and glittering waters at every turn.

Day 4 Villages & Beaches
Today promises a full day of exploration around the island of Hvar. Set off from your accommodations on a trail leading up through the central terrain. Visit the village of Brusje, exhibiting a more authentic Croatian heritage than most of the popular resort towns display.
Continue to the abandoned town of Malo Grablje. Its stone houses stand empty, with all its inhabitants leaving for the coast to find work in the 1960s. Finally, you’ll arrive at Dubovica Beach – one of Croatia’s most beautiful. Enjoy some time to relax and swim here before a pre-arranged transfer brings you back to Hvar town.
Overnight Location: Hotel in Hvar
Distance: 5-6 hours, 15-17km
Meals: Breakfast
Day 5 Summiting Sveti Ilija
Bid adieu to Hvar and board a catamaran for the crossing to Korčula Island. Upon arriving in the port town of the same name, transfer to a second ferry for a twenty-minute trip over Pelješac, where your day’s hike awaits. This peninsula is actually connected to the mainland, with plenty of interesting terrain to explore.
Set off on a quest to conquer Sveti Ilija, the highest peak on the peninsula. The views from the top are nothing short of breathtaking! After descending, hop on the ferry back to Korčula for your overnight.

Day 6 A Day on Mljet Island
After breakfast, hop on a catamaran for a crossing to Mljet Island. A national park spans the entire western half of the island, making it an unparalleled choice for an adventure on foot. Two saltwater lakes lie at the bottom of the park, with hiking and cycling trails encircling them in all directions.
Upon completion of your Mljet adventures, return to port and take the catamaran ferry back to Korčula for your final night on the tour.
