Trek the English Way trail in Spain from Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela on a quicker route
The Pontedeume option of the Camino Inglés from Ferrol to Santiago offers a condensed route compared to the traditional English Way, achieved by extending one of the stages. While still manageable, this option is particularly suitable for pilgrims with limited time available.
The Camino Inglés from Ferrol to Santiago was a popular route for pilgrims from Northern Europe seeking a quicker journey via boat. Offering a less crowded path, it's ideal for those craving solitude. Starting in Ferrol, a coastal town with stunning beaches, the route passes through urban areas and countryside. Moderately challenging, it culminates in Santiago's historic center at the Plaza del Obradoiro. Enjoy Galician cuisine along the way, with Betanzos renowned for its Spanish omelette. Buen Camino!
