Enjoy a short trek on the English Way from A Coruña to Santiago de Compostela

The Camino Inglés from A Coruña to Santiago is the original route walked by pilgrims from Northern Europe centuries ago. On your very own self-guided English Way Camino, you’ll enjoy a short 6-day trek from A Coruña, following in the footsteps of ancient pilgrims from long ago.

In the 12th century, English and German crusaders visited the tomb of Santiago on their way to the Holy Land. During the 16th century, with the collapse of the English crown, the route’s popularity declined. Today this route is recovering in its two variants, from A Coruña and from Ferrol.

This route from A Coruña is shorter than the one starting in Ferrol. Given that it is less than a hundred kilometers long, it is not possible to receive the Compostela in Santiago for completing this route. That being said, the Pilgrims Credential can still be stamped at every stage.

The Camino Inglés from A Coruña to Santiago is a great route for pilgrims looking for peace and quiet on a lesser travelled path to Santiago. Gastronomy is without a doubt a highlight of this trail, as in Galicia you eat a lot, and you eat well! Discover the magic for yourself on this short Camino Inglés walk.

On arrival in O Burgo, you’ll take in the estuary and its promenade, which is a lovely reward for your efforts so far.
