Hike high into the stellar mountains above the Aosta Valley
The Aosta Valley Hiking Tour is a breathtaking tour high into the mountains, exploring the Alps in the Aosta Valley province in northern Italy. You’ll explore awe-inspiring terrain and spend time enjoying the alpine villages that make the area so special.
This self-guided hiking tour begins in Aosta, a small town surrounded by an alpine valley. You’ll hike through to Lex Croux, surrounded by flower-filled meadows and mountains. Challenge yourself to ascend to the peaks of the Gran Paradiso- paradise indeed! Hiking west, pass over the slopes of the Valle d'Aosta, into the pastures where Fontina and Toma cheeses are made.
Kick back in a peaceful hamlet and sample some of that fine cheese before continuing up Oilletta Peak, where you can spot Mont Blanc just across the way. Then, the Aosta Valley Hiking Tour will take you along the Dora Baltea river, past vineyards and lovely churches. Feel the mist on your face at the waterfall of Lillaz, or dip your hand into the cool waters of Loie Lake.
Each part of the Aosta Valley Hiking Tour will inspire you, and you’ll never forget the beauty of this special region.
