Day 1 Arrival in Oberstdorf

Explore the charming Bavarian town of Oberstdorf or take a cable car ride to the iconic Nebelhorn Peak for breathtaking panoramic views, setting the tone for your hiking adventure.

Day 2 Oberstdorf to Steeg

After a short bus ride, hike through the Sperrbachtobel Gorge, ascending to the Kemptner Hut. Cross the dramatic Mädelejoch Pass, transitioning from Germany into Austria, and descend into the picturesque Lech Valley. Cross the famous Holzgau suspension bridge before taking a bus to Steeg.

Distance: 14 km, 990 m of ascent, 900 m of descent

Day 3 Steeg to St. Anton am Arlberg

Start with a bus ride to Kaisers, then hike remote alpine paths deep into the Lechtal Alps. Ascend to the pass near the Leutkircher Hut, enjoy a break, then descend towards the Arlberg and follow the Camino route to St. Jakob. A short bus ride takes you to St. Anton.

Day 4 St. Anton am Arlberg to Lech am Arlberg

Take a cable car up to over 2,800 meters for stunning vistas from Valluga Peak. Follow the rugged Arlberg Trail, climb to the Stuttgarter Hut, then enjoy a scenic high-altitude trail. Descend by gondola into Lech to conclude the day's hike.

Distance: 13 km, 920 m of ascent, 1,220 m of descent

Day 5 Lech am Arlberg to Warth/Surroundings

Enjoy a relaxed trek through the scenic Lech Valley, passing through alpine meadows and forest paths. Gently ascend to the Walser village of Warth, where you can relax by a natural swimming lake and visit Vorarlberg’s highest dairy farm.

Distance: 11 km, 300 m of ascent, 300 m of descent

Day 6 Warth to Oberstdorf

Ascend through diverse terrain from Warth to the old customs hut, crossing the border back into Bavaria. Reach the Mindelheimer Hut for a meal, then continue along the Krumbacher Höhenweg, enjoying spectacular views of the Allgäu Alps. Descend and take a bus back to Oberstdorf.
