8-Day Venice to Florence Cycling Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Venice
After arriving in Venice, you will make your way to your hotel, which is located on the mainland and has excellent bus links to the lagoon city. Not far from Marcus square, you can look forward to a little Grappa tasting session before settling in for the evening.

Day 2 Cycle through Venice and Ferry to Chioggia
In the morning, you will meet for a tour briefing and bike fitting, before cycling on the bike path over the Liberty Bridge to Venice. Afterwards, you will take the ferry to Lido and cycle to Chioggia with stunning views of the sea. This quiet little town is reminiscent of the historic Venetian maritime supremacy, inviting you to stay and enjoy yourself in one of its typical fish restaurants. Tonight, you will stay in Chioggia/Sottomarina, where there is a wide sandy beach.

Day 3 Bike Through Fertile Farmland to Adria
On quiet roads you will cycle back to the River Adige, which will lead you through fertile fields, melon plantations, and tranquil villages to Adria - a small, friendly city with lots of charm. Founded by the Etruscans because of its proximity to the rivers Adige and Po, the city now features charming narrow streets, cosy cafes, and friendly people.

Day 4 Bike Along the Banks of the River Po
Today you will cycle for a short distance along the longest river in Italy, the river Po. One of its branches, called Po di Goro, will lead you right through the river delta towards the sea. Perhaps you want to cool off in the Adriatic Sea before you arrive in the charming town of Comacchio? Magnificent palazzi, ornate churches, and numerous bridges still bear witness of the prosperity once gained by salt production in the region. Overnight in Comacchio.

Day 5 Delta del Po National Park and Ravenna
The first half of the day’s ride will take you through the natural park “Delta del Po” with its unique flora and fauna. Riding your bike on a dam, you will feel as though you are cycling across the water while flamingos are nesting only a few metres away from you! After one short ferry ride (tickets not included in the tour price, about € 2) you will reach the Adriatic Sea. Continuing on to Ravenna, you will cycle past wide beaches before reaching the enchanting port city filled with art and culture.

Day 6 Cycle Through the Foothills of the Apennine Mountains
The foothills of the Apennines form gently rolling hills, providing a different landscape from previous stages of the tour. On the edge of the vast plains you will arrive in Faenza – an enchanting little city where world-famous ceramics are produced. The artists will be happy to let you watch while they are painting the artifacts. Now it is not far to Brisighella, an idyllic medieval village where tranquility and pure relaxation await you.

Day 7 Cycle to Florence
The final day of cycling on your tour will begin with a wonderful train journey through the wild mountain world of the Apennines to Borgo San Lorenzo.
