Polar Peak Ridge Trail Description
Hiking the Polar Peak Ridge Trail is not for the faint of heart, nor the inexperienced hiker. This route is best left for experienced hikers or those with a guide familiar with the area due to the technical nature of the terrain. Along the route, hikers will need to climb up the ridge by way of a brief scramble, followed by a hike along the rugged and exposed alpine ridgeline to the summit of Polar Peak. After admiring the views across the valley to Mount Fernie and the Three Sisters, you will need to work back along the ridge and make a technical descent via a system of fixed ropes. Although very technical, the Polar Peak Ridge Walk features some of the most beautiful terrain and scenic views in the Fernie area.
