If you are visiting the Okanagan Valley and find yourself with only enough time for one amazing cycling adventure, then the Osoyoos to Jackson Triggs Winery via Black Sage Road has got to be it. This wonderfully scenic route will take you along a stretch of countryside that features several of the valley’s most prominent wine makers; surrounding you with gorgeous vineyard views on either side as you make your way across the undulating landscape. For the most part, this is a fairly quiet ride without an intimidating amount of traffic – just make sure to save the wine tastings for the return leg of the journey!

Setting out from Osoyoos, you will initially make your way west along BC-3 before branching off to the northwest along BC-97. After cycling along the scenic shores of Osoyoos Lake, you will head east to pass through the South Okanagan Wildlife Management Area to meet up with Black Sage Road. Here, you will experience the most stunning views along the ride, as you travel along the Okanagan River and pass by some of the Okanagan Valley’s most well-known wine producers, such as Burrowing Owl Estate Winery, Black Hills Estate Winery, and Le Vieux Pin. Eventually, you will pass by the scenic shores of Tuc El Nuit Lake and arrie at the terminus of the route at the Jackson Triggs Winery. From here, you can turn back and retrace your ride along the same route, taking in the beautiful scenery once again and stopping in at one of the wineries for a quick tasting on the return leg back to Osoyoos.
