Who doesn’t love a waterfall hike? No one! The Foresta Falls Trail is a lovely adventure along the northern rim of Yosemite Valley that surges over a smooth granite cliff face—a truly picture-perfect scene. Wander the dirt road alongside Crane Creek to the charming waterfalls. As you hike, you will be motivated by the impressive views of Yosemite Valley and the granite top Sierra Nevada Mountains. Easy going, secluded, and family-friendly, we can’t recommend this awesome adventure enough. Note: the Yosemite National Park charges an entrance fee, check out the NPS website for additional information.
Embark on your adventure along the Foresta Falls Trail from the intersection of Dana Way and Old Yosemite Coulterville Road. Setting out from here, you are going to want to head south along the Old Yosemite Coulterville Road. Follow this dirt road along Crane Creek, letting the sounds of the gurgling waters relax you. If you are hiking in the summer months you will be rewarded with sights of vibrant wildflowers that line the path as you make your way down to the falls.
Soon you will reach Foresta Falls. Revel in the beauty and the hypnotic nature of the cascades surging over the granite cliffside. Admire the sights of the dramatic landscape that lines the horizon, and when you are ready, head back the way you came back to the trailhead.
