Rock Pile Trail Description
Rock Pile Trail gives you fairly quick access to a quality viewpoint. Be prepared for a steep climb, though. The grade is high and sections of loose rock can make this a challenge for young children or beginners. We highly recommend coming when the wildflowers are blooming.
From the highway, take the trail and begin up the hill. It’s steep and loose in parts, and there can be some patches of snow or ice present if you’re here in shoulder season. You won’t lose your way, though. It’s a straight shot to the top where the viewpoint is. The trail continues further, but it does so on private property, so turn back from the viewpoint and retrace your steps to the trailhead.
