Kachess Beacon Trail Description

The Kachess Beacon Lookout is gorgeous, with views that extend all the way to Mount Rainier. The hike there isn’t too long or strenuous, but you’ll still feel like you earned your panoramas. There is also a small waterfall a few hundred yards from the trailhead that’s definitely worth a side trip.

Beginning from the trailhead, take the trail that turns sharply left, leading you uphill. The elevation gain is fairly gradual as you make your way up the slope. The trail forks and you’ll want to stay right. There’s a waterfall ahead where the trail draws closer to the creek. Hike along the creek and then follow the route as it curves away to the left for another stretch of climbing.

At the lookout, get comfy and enjoy the view before retracing your steps back to the trailhead.
