Hex Mountain Trail Description
Hex Mountain is a summit that’s fairly easy to complete. Although the trail is hard, it’s steady and non-technical. It is a bit unforgiving on hot days, so bring plenty of water. Poles can be helpful, especially on the final push to the summit.
The hike starts on a wide gravel road. After a fairly steep climb around the 1.0mi mark, a trail marker indicates where the hiking route continues. The shade starts about two-thirds of the way in, so you’ll get some relief from the sun (if it’s out). As you approach the summit, the trail steepens. Push on to earn panoramic views from the top. When you’re ready, you’ll follow the same trail back down to the trailhead.
