Eightmile Lake Trail Description
Eightmile Lake is a wonderful little spot, and the hike required to reach it is doable for most levels. It’s moderate with just a touch of climbing and plenty of nice views to enjoy. Remember that dogs aren’t allowed in the Enchantments whether leashed or not.
Begin from the trailhead, taking care to take the trail on the left (two depart from the same spot). Hike alongside Eightmile Creek, crossing over on a log bridge. There’s a bit more elevation gain required at the start of the hike before the grade levels off. It’s smooth sailing to Little Eightmile Lake, which you’ll continue past to Eightmile Lake. You can walk along the entire northern shore before retracing your steps back to the trailhead.
