Earl Peak via Bean Creek Trail Description

Earl Peak via Bean Creek Trail is an enjoyable varied hike for the backpacker or day hiker. With waterfalls, foliage, mountains, and streams to see, it’s a varied trail with lots of shade for hot days. It requires a good bit of uphill climbing and some scrambling over loose rocky sections.

Beginning from the trailhead, head north on Beverly Turnpike Trail #1391. Where Bean Creek branches off to the right, turn to follow it. Where the creek splits, keep left to follow the same arm. The trail splits before the camping site, and you’ll take the sharp right that heads uphill on a set of switchbacks. Things get steep here! On the ridge, go left and traverse to the peak, taking care as you navigate over large rocks. From the peak, you’ll retrace your steps back down to the trailhead.
