Cashmere Mountain Hike Description

Cashmere Mountain is a formidable hike best suited to fit adventurers. If you’re ready for a big day with a bit of scrambling involved, it’s a great pick! We recommend having your GPS route downloaded for the few sections of the trail that are less obvious.

Begin from the trailhead. You’ll climb up through the valley, which is a great warm-up but not too aggressive. Take a right at Little Eightmile Lake and begin to really climb, making your way up to Lake Caroline. Backpackers, this is the best overnight spot on the hike. Keep going to the next junction, where you’ll take a right onto the ridge and traverse past the false summit to the saddle. The final climb to the summit is a bit exposed and scrambly, so take it easy. From the summit, it’s back to the trailhead the same way you came in.
