Long Beach Trail Description
Hiking the length of Long Beach is a tremendous outdoor experience near Tofino that will give you a true appreciation for how magical this coastal area really is. Although it’s a large beach, certain points can become crowded during peak hours and on weekends. If you are looking to stroll along the beach without the distraction of other hikers, be sure to arrive early in the day or late in the evening to both secure a parking spot and experience a bit of solitude on your walk.
Setting out on the trail from the parking area near Incinerator Rock, follow along the shoreline to the southeast. As you make your way along the white sandy beach, the blue expanse of the Pacific Ocean and the soft crashing of the tide will provide a relaxing sensation that is hard to find anywhere but the beach.
After roughly 4km of hiking, you will arrive at the rugged rock formation of Green Point. If you are hiking in low tide, take some time to explore the rocky crags along the shoreline before heading back along the same route. As you once again work your way down Long Beach, embrace getting lost in your own thoughts as you stroll through the serene coastal landscape.
