Corrieshalloch Gorge Viewpoint Walk

Gather your family, lace up your boots, and take on The Corrieshalloch Gorge Viewpoint Walk! This adventure takes you to a viewing platform that overlooks the all-mighty gorge, punctuated by a roaring waterfall! And it doesn’t take too much effort to get there, other than some minor steep sections, but nothing too intense. The end of the walk opens up to views of the countryside, hemmed with rolling grassy hills and Loch Broom.

To start the Corrieshalloch Gorge Viewpoint Walk, head right from the car park to go through a gate. Follow the path as it zigzags to reach the bridge. Note that the bridge can only hold six people at once, so be patient and wait your turn if many people are around! Halfway across the suspension bridge, pause for a moment to look down at the mighty Falls of Measach. After the bridge, go left as the path leads you to a metal viewing platform. If you’re scared of heights—don’t look directly below you! This platform jets out over the gorge, unveiling incredible views of the gorge and the suspension bridge. After soaking in the sights, get off the platform and go back to the bridge, crossing it again. Take a right to follow the path hugging the edge of the gorge. Don’t stray off the track, and keep your kids and dogs close here!

Walk through pines and follow the path as it dips via steps to an information section and another viewing area. After checking out the scenery, continue along the path as it takes you uphill, opening up to countryside scenery. Look for Loch Broom tucked into the surroundings. From here, continue along the path back to the car park!
