Setting out from the Lakeshore Trailhead near the Chickaree Picnic Area, the Inspiration Point via Lake Alpine Hike follows the leftmost branch of the Lakeshore Trail, heading southwest. This section of the route will guide you along the shoreline of Lake Alpine—offering incredible views of the shimmering waters and bounding bluffs. Not long after your departure will you reach the intersection with the Inspiration Point Trail. Merge onto this route and ascend the rocky terrain to the summit.

Appreciate the scene of Lake Alpine below, Mount Reba in the northwest, Bull Run Peak in the east, and the numerous other stunning mountains that line the horizon. After reveling in the views, retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
