Council Mountain Hot Springs Hike Description

A free, natural spa treatment? Sign us up! The Council Mountain Hot Springs Hike offers a tiring climb up to the natural hot springs on Warm Spring Creek. Offering incredible views of the mountainous landscape, the exposed route warrants extreme conditions, so check the forecast and dress accordingly! Note that four-wheelers have been seen on the trail, so be mindful of passers-by! Additionally, the relaxing hot springs are…HOT! Take your time getting in, and don’t forget a towel to dry off after your soak.

Setting out from the trailhead, the Council Mountain Hot Springs Hike travels northwestwardly into the meadowlands adorned with the odd pine and burn scar from a previous wildfire. Running parallel to Warm Spring Creek, the route will meander through the brush, demanding some bushwhacking and careful footing. However, enjoy the incredible mountain views as you climb, and you will eventually reach the Council Mountain Hot Springs.

Be sure to test the waters before hopping in, then take a relaxing soak in the natural hot tub. Admire the scene of the towering ridges anchored by Council Mountain. When you are through enjoying the springs, simply retrace your footing back down the path to the trailhead.
