The best part about the Rattlesnake Point Trail—other than the exceptional view of the blue-green, glistening Kalamalka Lake—is that it connects to a network of different paths. You can spend hours walking around Kalamalka Provincial Park, stopping at various swim spots as you explore! If you’re looking for a short jaunt to get your legs moving, the Rattlesnake Point Trail is a great stand-alone adventure, too.
Getting there
Follow Kalamalka Lake Road until you reach Kidston Road, where you’ll turn right. After 2.0mi, take a left to stay on Kidston Road. Continue by the main parking lot to the second parking lot. The second parking lot will be on your right.

Rattlesnake Point Trail Description
The Rattlesnake Point Trail is an easy out-and-back route that caters to all ages! From the second parking lot, you’ll easily spot the trailhead for Crest Trail. At about 984ft into your walk, you’ll notice a path veering east. Ignore this, and continue straight. However, if you want to turn your walk into a slightly longer loop, feel free to follow this path. You’ll need to turn right at the next two trail junctions to eventually meet up with the original trail. It’s vital to note that Kalamalka Provincial Park boasts of a network of trails, so it’s easy to create your own adventure.
If you stayed on Crest Trail (also known as Rattlesnake Point Trail), you’d want to continue straight to reach Rattlesnake Point, where shimmering views of the Okanagan Valley and Kalamalka Lake await. If you see a path to the side, don’t take it. Return the way you came—or opt to explore more of the park!
Many visitors and locals walk to Rattlesnake Point from Juniper Bay Beach. To do this, follow Juniper Trail. You’ll reach two junction points, both which lead up to Crest Trail.
