Stormont Estate Circular Walk Description

If you are looking to get out for a spot of exercise, take in some scenic views, and explore the magnificent buildings of Parliament, all without leaving Belfast, then you will want to check out the pathways along the Stormont Estate Circular Walk.

Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the west through the forest to pass by the gatehouse and Stormont Gate, before turning to the north to walk along the edge of the estate. Here, you will pass through another beautiful stretch of forest as you make your way towards the Parliament buildings.

After taking in the views of this wonderfully constructed building, you will enter back into the cover of the trees and make your way slightly uphill, as you loop through the forest and begin heading in a southeastern direction. Here, you will pass by the buildings of the former Stormont Estate – including Stormont Castle – as you continue along the return leg of the trail that will bring you back to the trailhead where you began your journey.
