Featuring a short overall distance, interesting ruins, and scenic viewpoints throughout its length, the Dunseverick Castle to Portbradden Harbour Walk is an exceptional route for a fun weekend adventure. The coastal terrain here is a bit rugged but still easy to traverse, making the trail suitable for a wide variety of walkers.

Setting out from the car park on Causeway Road, you will make your way to the east along the shoreline and pass by the historic ruins of the Dunseverick Castle. Saint Patrick was said to have visited the castle during the 5th Century, and it was later destroyed in the 17th Century.

After passing by the ruins of the gatehouse, you will continue on to the east and follow along the rugged coastal terrain, taking in the views of Dunseverick Falls and the Dunseverick Harbour, before arriving at the peaceful seaside location of Portbradden Harbour. Here, you can either make your way back along the trail or utilize your travel arrangements to return to the trailhead.
