Dunseverick Castle to Giant’s Causeway Walk

Whether you are interested in Irish history or are looking to experience some world famous coastal landscapes, the Dunseverick Castle to Giant’s Causeway Walk is a truly spectacular adventure that will not disappoint.

Setting out from the car park, you will make your way to the northwest and pass by the ruins of the historic Dunseverick Castle, which is said to have hosted Saint Patrick at some point during the 5th Century CE. The castle was also raided by vikings in 870 CE and was ultimately destroyed in the mid-17th Century, with only the ruins of the gatehouse remaining.

From here, you will continue along the rugged terrain of the Antrim Coast, taking in the stunning views across the water as you make your approach to the Giant’s Causeway. After passing by several unique features, such as The Organ, Giant’s Boot, and Giant’s Gate, you will arrive at the Giant’s Causeway itself, with its countless basalt columns standing tightly packed together against the crashing waves of the sea. Once you have taken in the views, you can either head back along the trail or make your way to the visitor centre for an arranged pick up.
