Camlough Mountain Walk Description
If you find yourself in the Ring of Gullion Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and are after a fun adventure that will take you to the summit of a small mountain for excellent views over Northern Ireland, then you should absolutely check out the Camlough Mountain Walk.
Setting out from the roadside trailhead, you will make your way north along a wide track that will lead you up the side of the mountain. While making your way uphill, you will be surrounded by heather clad slopes and pass through intermittent stretches of forest, as you gain elevation on the way to the summit.
Reaching the top of Camlough Mountain, you will experience some amazing views, not just of the surrounding mountain peaks, but further afield to the towns, villages, and open farmland that is sprawled out before you to the north. After taking in the views, you can simply head downhill along the same route in order to reach the trailhead where you began.
