Og Lake Trail

With little overall elevation gain and breathtaking scenery throughout, the hike to Og Lake is a popular activity in Mt. Assiniboine Provincial Park if you are after an intermediate length hike without too much difficulty. The trail sets out from the Assiniboine Lodge and heads to the north to pass through picturesque meadows and intermittent stretches of forest, providing beautiful views of the mountainous terrain that flanks the trail on either side. Eventually, you will reach the charming shores of Og Lake and walk along its western bank to arrive at the campground. Here, you can either set up camp under the shadow of Og Mountain to the east while enjoying the peaceful lakeside setting, or simply head back along the trail to return to the lodge.
