Tunnel Arch Trail Description
The Tunnel Arch Trail is a quick out-and-back trail that is fun for the whole family. This hike is hot and sandy under the desert sun, so be sure to bring lots of water and sunscreen for yourself and your hiking party. This trail is in a very popular area of Arches National Park, so be advised that the trail may be crowded. We recommend heading out on this trail early in the morning to beat the heat and the crowds.
The Tunnel Arch Trail, however, is popular for a reason. This hike is in the beautiful Devils Garden Area of Arches, and the Tunnel Arch is just one of the many stunning formations along the main trail. If you are impressed by this gorgeous sandstone structure, consider extending your time in the area and visiting the other iconic arches such as the Pine Tree Arch, Landscape Arch, and Navajo Arch—all of which are just down the trail.
From the Devils Garden Trailhead, follow the well-marked trail heading northwest. Take the first right along the trail, quickly followed by another right to arrive at Tunnel Arch.
Take a rest in the shade before heading back to the parking lot following the way you came, or continue to your next adventure in Devils Garden.
