Mill Canyon Dinosaur Trail Description

The Mill Canyon Dinosaur Trail is a great family-friendly hike past some amazing fossil formations just outside of Arches National Park. This hike is hot and sandy, so save it for a cooler summer day and bring lots of water and a good sunhat for everyone in your group. Pamphlets that describe the sights along this hike can be picked up ahead of time at the Grand Resource Center in Moab or downloaded from the discovermoab website here.

There are three short access paths from the trailhead that all converge into one trail leading south. Take any of these paths and follow the main trail for 0.9mi as it passes by the bones of Jurassic giants such as Allosaurus, Stegosaurus, and Camarasaurus.

The Dinosaur Trail ends 0.9mi down at an intersection with another back road. Turn around here and follow the same trail north back to the parking lot.
