Jewell Tibbets Arch Description
The Jewell Tibbets Arch Trail is a great hike for the whole family. The access road to this trail is unmaintained and rugged, so having a vehicle with high clearance and 4WD is an asset, you can also park 0.5mi from the trailhead to avoid the sketchy section and add a bit of distance onto your hike. The trail itself offers stunning views of Hell Roaring Canyon 400 feet below. If you are hiking with children or pups, be sure to exercise caution and keep them well away from the edge of the trail.
Jewell Tibbets Arch is named after a Moab Rancher who lived in the area in the 1950s and 60s and used to take visitors out to see this impressive formation.
From the Trailhead, follow the path to your right for 0.7mi to the canyon’s edge and the Jewell Tibbets Arch.
From the overlook, you can turn around and follow the same path back to the parking area, or you can continue along the path for another 0.7mi to complete this trail as a loop.
