The Lakes Walk is a lovely adventure in Crans Montana, Switzerland that will take you past nine lakes, ponds, and reservoirs that add a real charm to the region. This walking route invites you to explore the plateau, passing from one body of water to the next, all while making a few stops at terraces along the way. Some of these bodies of water are located in the resort, while others are further removed and closer to nature.
Getting there
To reach Crans-Montana by car, take the exit of the A9 motorway (Rhône motorway) called "Sierre ouest". At the motorway exit, turn left and follow the signs for "Sierre". At the roundabout, turn right. Continue for 1640ft, then at the entrance to Sierre, turn left following the signs for "Crans-Montana". The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Crans-Montana, follow the signs for Etang Long car park.

Route Description for Lakes Walk
Setting out from the trailhead, the Lakes Walk will initially take you west through the resort to visit Lac d’Icogne, before looping around to the southeast on the way to Etang des Miriouges. From here, you will make your way northeast to Etang de la Moubra, before passing by Etang Blanc and Etang Long.
Now heading north, you will continue through the resort and past the golf course, turning east toward Etang Grenon. Backtracking and now heading to the northwest, you will eventually arrive at Lac de Chermignon, before returning to the starting point of the walk.
