Route Description for Bisse du Ro Hike
The Bisse du Ro Hike follows a route that was hewn out of the rock in the first half of the 15th century. A true source of life, it was painstakingly looked after by villagers until 1946, when a water tunnel was inaugurated. In order to conserve this route for tourists, the “société de dévelopement de Montana” decided to attend to its upkeep.
Along the trail, you will make your way from the bisse to discover the Valley of Ertenze, a wild and rugged place where only a few alpine pastures can be found. The hike will end at the Rawyl Dam, from which it is possible to return to Crans-Montana by public transport. This steep route is not advised for those who are scared of heights.
