Walking the New Yatt Circular is a fun experience for outdoor enthusiasts of most skill levels, allowing you to appreciate the beauty and charm of the picturesque country landscapes of Oxfordshire. Setting out from the trailhead in New Yatt, you will make your way north and leave the village behind, traversing the open farmland to pass by Bridewell Farm House. From here, you will continue on to the northeast and pass through a lovely stretch of woodland terrain, crossing over the winding banks of the River Evenlode to reach a railway bridge. Head across and continue the loop through the countryside, passing by the village of Stonesfield and following the trail as it skirts along the edge of the river. Reaching your initial crossing point over the River Evenlode, head to the southeast and make your way across a number of fields, turning to the southwest once you reach the Church of St. Mary’s just outside of North Leigh.
