Walking the Coln St. Aldwyns and Bibury Circular is a fantastic Cotswolds adventure that will take you along the banks of a winding river between two lovely villages. While out on the trail, you will walk along the Coln River between Coln St. Aldwyns and Bibury before looping around to the southeast to traverse some rolling hills with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. This walk is packed with beautiful scenery and is steeped in local history, making it perfect for a fun weekend stroll.
Getting there
To reach the starting point for the Coln St. Aldwyns and Bibury Circular Walk from Fairford, head to the northwest on Coronation Street and keep straight for 3.0mi before making a left turn. After 138ft, make another left to arrive at the trailhead. You can utilize roadside parking in the village.

Setting out from the heart of Coln St. Aldwyns, you will follow along the meandering banks of the River Coln and enjoy the surrounding views before trekking through the historic village of Bibury. From here, follow the trail to the southwest across the open farmland before it turns to the southeast to traverse some rolling hills on the return leg of the walk that will bring you back to the village.
