Polzeath to St Enodoc Church Walk Description

If you enjoy exploring seaside areas and visiting disappearing historic churches, then the Polzeath to St Enodoc Church Walk is the perfect route for you. In addition to taking in some beautiful scenery along the Cornish Sea, you will be able to visit the St Enodoc Church, which dates back to at least the 12th Century and was almost entirely engulfed by sand in the period between the 16th and 19th Centuries, before being restored.

Setting out from the car park in Polzeath, you will make your way west along a coastal path while enjoying some beautifully scenic views overlooking Hayle Bay. From here, you will follow the trail as it bends to the southwest, eventually arriving at a viewpoint overlooking Daymer Bay and the Camel Estuary.

After taking in the views, you can make a brief detour to the south to visit the historic St Enodoc Church, before heading east towards the Polzeath Golf Course. From here, you will turn to the northwest, working your way through a charming valley on the return into Polzeath where you began.
