Setting out from the Pentireglaze car park, you will head to the southwest along a track that cuts across the open countryside and will bring you to the edge of the village of New Polzeath. Here, you will have some incredible views along the beach looking out into Pentireglaze Haven, Hayle Bay, and the Cornish Sea further afield.
After taking in the views, you will make your way to the northwest along the rugged terrain of the coast, taking some time to enjoy the seaside views as you round the ultra-scenic lookout at Pentire Point. From here, the trail will turn to the northeast and continue along the coastal cliffs, eventually taking you out onto The Rumps, a unique twin headland that features the remains of an Iron Age Fort. After exploring the site, you will continue along the coast in a southeastern direction to arrive back at the car park where you began your journey.
