The Lerryn and St Winnow Circular Walk is a fantastic adventure in Cornwall that will take you along the banks of several rivers to visit an historic 15th Century church. While out walking the trail, you will make your way through the village of Lerryn to walk the banks of the River Lerryn and River Fowey, before arriving at the site of the Church of St Winnow. This walk features a variety of terrain that includes open fields and woodlands, so be sure to wear proper walking footwear.

Featuring historic buildings, a charming village, and a relaxing riverside setting, the Lerryn and St Winnow Circular Walk is a great walk for anyone interested in history or those simply looking to get out and explore the beauty of nature.

Setting out from the car park, you will make your way to the northeast through the village of Lerryn and cross over the bridge. Once you are on the opposite side, you will head to the southwest along the banks of the River Lerryn, following along the water’s edge as you pass through tranquil stretches of woodland terrain.

Eventually, you will arrive at the Church of St Winnow, a beautiful building with origins in the Niorman period, although most of the current structure dates back to the 15th Century. From here, you will make your way to the northeast, climbing uphill through open fields and passing through forests on the return leg of the walk back into the village of Lerryn where you began.
