To top it off, the low 961ft elevation gain that stretches across gentle, steady hills makes this walk fun for almost all fitness levels. The 7.2mi length may be too much for younger children, but that’s up for you to decide!
Getting there
To get to the start of the Cookley Green Loop, head to Swyncombe. From here, follow Church Lane before turning left onto Rectory Hill/Swyncombe Church and continue going until you see a parking lot on your right.

Cookley Green Loop Description
The Cookley Green Loop takes you by lovely wildflowers peppering a fairytale-like woodland setting. Heading out from Swyncombe, you walk towards Church Wood and Cookley Green. Continue looping around until you reach Nettlebed Common Wood: the highlight of this route. You’ll skirt along the edge of the woods before travelling through more woodland scenery as well as open fields as you make your way back to your car.
