Castle Village and Berkhamsted Common Walk Description
The Castle Village and Berkhamsted Common Walk takes you on a 6.6mi loop through woodland! However, some areas can be a bit overgrown with roots to navigate. And, during the wetter months, it can get muddy, so come prepared with proper footwear. This walk is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a more rugged adventure in a woodland setting.
From your car, you’ll follow Britwell Drive before heading onto Hillingdon Road. Continue along this road and then turn left at the War Memorial, onto New Road. Take the first path you see to your right, and this marks the start of your loop, which sees you walking through primarily woodland. Eventually, the circuit will take you back to New Road, and you’ll follow the same path back to where you started, as this is a lollipop route.
